Oh hey! I am Emme, a Donnybrook based family & couples photographer servicing the southwest. THIS is Sharron & Vik. When I tell y’all that they had a VISION for this shoot! I was drooling over the inspo bored that Sharron sent me! 

They wanted coastal, vogue-y, moody, romantic vibes for their engagement photos & my oh myyyyyyyy did they come prepared to meet the brief! 

We found a stunningggg little spot along the coast in Rockingham, parked Vik’s sweet project car somewhere we had a nice view of the water & got straight to capturing their sweet love story!

I know I say this after every shoot but I think these photos are some of my absolute favs! I mean check them out! 

While we were shooting, this beautiful couple were telling me about the early days of their relationship & how Vik had owned a car just like the one in these photos. 

They wanted it to be apart of their engagement photos because it reminded them of hanging out in those early days & if I’m reading between the lines correctly, of falling in love. 

When I work with couples I am all about digging into their love story & trying to incorporate as many aspects of it as possible into their session. That could mean a specific location, an object (like a car) that they have memories with, something meaningful from this particular season or just capturing them as they are & planning the directions I give to reflect them & their unique love. 

So when Sharron came to me with a vision & wanting to incorporate Vik’s car, I couldn’t wait to get started! 

I had SO much fun capturing these two & I love love LOOOOOVE the way these photos turned out! 

We started the session in Vik’s car, I gave them as few directions as I could & just looked for those precious, intimate moments that so often go unnoticed in our every day lives. Hands touching, a shared laugh, a quick glance or a loving smile. 

I think these little moments can be such an underrated measurement of our happiness. When you look back on your love, moments like these and and how often they came can tell you so much about how life was going. 

You could have all the money in the world and be flying away to fancy new locations every summer or you could be living in a small town working hard just to keep food on the table but if someone is there to squeeze your hand as they walk by or brush a quick kiss across your cheek when they pass you then who cares about the material things? 

These moments are the ones that mean the most and these moments are the ones that deserve to be remembered. 

So naturally they are my favourite moments to capture. And Sharron & Vik made it oh so easy!

Next we headed down to the water! And on the beach is where we got a little more posey & staged to bring the next part of the vision to life!

Y’all. These two were naturals! They were so effortlessly cool & brought allllllllllll of the vogue vibes! From Sharron’s mini veil & bouquet to Vik’s simple, classic, vintage giving ensemble to the way I barely even had to tell them how to position themselves, I was straight up obsessed! 

I mean how COOL do these guys look!

I love the way photography can bring a creative vision to life & freeze sacred moments in time that will long out live you all at the same time! 

Y’all, I LOVED this session! And even more than that, I genuinely feel so honoured every time a client trusts me to capture their sacred moments.
